Our company, Fonderie Belli, has been working in the production of grey and ductile cast iron manhole covers since the early 1980`s with the name Fonderie Viterbesi di Belli & C. snc and successively as Fonderie Viterbesi srl. Our company is today committed to meeting its clients’ needs, offering technical assistance and advice, besides a special attention for design and production of item conforming to Public Health and Safety directives. The company’s vocation is tu be a protagonist in the road building sector, committing itself every day in the search for new design solutions, paying particular attention to the following:
- fitting of the manhole cover, with a high reduction in weight which facilitates the opening of the cover
- increase in the runoff surfaces of the grates, which allows a greater collection of rainwater
- increase in safety elements, which allow a greater stability on the roads
- safety of maintenance and installation
- reduction of the noise on the roads
- safety in case of fire
- energy saving and recycling raw materials
Fonderie Belli ‘s products are made of spheroidal cast iron EN GJS 500-7 (ENJS 1050) according to European standard UNI EN 1563:2004 and in grey cast iron EN GJL-200, according to European standard UNI EN 1561. The products are checked in conformity to the certificate of inspection 3.1 B, according to European standard UNI EN 10204, which evaluates its mechanical characteristics (elongation %, hardness, unit load yield point of 0,2%, tensile resistance) and chemical analysis (carbon, silicon, manganese, sulphur, phosphorus, magnesium).
